Oh, finally it's the weekend! Pity tomorrow is Sunday already.
Well even though it's Saturday we're still working hard, simply because we don't like not working.
Today we're trying to figure out every little detail of the game play so we don't end up wanting to add to the engine when the game is almost complete.
Then we need to build a proper interface, then put it all together.
After that comes level design and finishing every characters animations. Once that's complete we'll put together the cut scenes and publish it!
Soon we'll finally have some screenshots and explain how the game play will work.

Story UPDATE!
Yesterday I spoke about the bad dealings with a bad publisher...
But today I have happier topic. (thankfully)
We've got a good handle the games plot. We've almost finished the entire outline, and now begins the fun task of actually writing the script.
The games engine is nearly complete, we just need to add the interesting gameplay elements which will make it stand out in a world of thousands of video games.
------------
I promised myself I wouldn't do this, but I'm still really angry.
The "PUBLISHER" who wanted to represent us did not respond to our nasty email which basically told 'em where to go... and that's a good thing!
We never sign a contract, we never even came close!
And still they act like they own us. What a joke...
This "PUBLISHER" claims to have spent hours of their time pushing our demo around to other publishers... but... why would a publisher do that when they could just publish the game themselves?
Something sounds a little shady to me!
This is such a joke!
All we did was respond to the email they sent us and talked to them about the game (our last project which will now never see the light of day, due to spite) with them...
They offered us help with the game, but wanted us to make it more "mainstream"... (sigh)...
That would be horrible!
Mainstream games are fine... but don't we have enough of those? We need more originality in life!
So we were supposed to take our unique RPG game and turn it in to a GTA shooter?
That doesn't even make sense...
It's almost as if Rosie had started a game publisher.

wow, this is bad.
Boy this has been a busy day!
And let me tell you, it’s not that we’ve been working our butts off today on the game, it’s that we’ve been working our butts off trying to get bad “publishers” off our backs.
One who had dealings with in the past, who was very angry that we didn’t end up working with them, launched a very unprofessional attack on us.
This includes swearing, personal attacks, and mockery of company.
This has us very upset.
We don’t understand what they want from us!
We’re just making games.
We didn’t sign anything, we just talked about potentially doing business.

Artist
This entry is to explain about our artist for this project. Brian Allanson.
He's a been drawing his entire life (Haven't we all?)...
These pictures are from different projects that we've worked on in the past.
That was for our last project, which is a little bit dead at the moment due to some issues with legal and such...
Now here is a concept drawn from an idea we flirted with... (though I doubt it'll ever get made)
..................
Well that's pretty much all for now...
Please note that the art style of the up coming project that is the main focus of this blog isn't like either of these two drawings at all...
What is the art style?
As if I'd say just yet!

It Starts Today
Hey!
This should be interesting... we few months ago one of our team members said that we should start a blog keeping track of all of our progress in our games. So, I was given the task to start it! Lucky me...
Well, before I go off I guess I should explain who we are. That's actually pretty simple, we're AckkSoftware, a small indie game developer from the states. We've had our dirty little hands in a lot of project over the years we've been working together, but nothing that's been officially released under the name of AckkSoftware. But recently we've had a lot of rough spots, stolen game concepts, dirty contracts, bad ties. But those have all be severed! And we're ready to get down and create some games.
I can't show what we're working on in this post, simply because that would ruin the fun... (and we're sadists)... but I can assure you that within the next month you'll see some screen shots, concept art, and trailers for our up coming game.
Well now, I've explained who WE are, now on to who I am....
My name is Andrew, the lead writer, co-director for the latest project. I'll also be helping with some of the art direction. (A man of many talents if I do say so myself.)
My favorite game designers are Hideo Kojima, and Shigeru Miyamoto. My favorite games are Metal Gear Solid 2/3, Zelda (in general), Final Fantasy IX (I don't care what you say, it's the best.), Bubble Bobble, Super Smash Bro's Melee, Lufia 2, Tales of Phantasia... the list goes on and on!
As for writing, I've never really drawn inspiration entirely from one single person or game. My forte is really writing books. You'll be able to read my first novel which is currently being sold through my Literary Agent.
.... I shall end this here!
